Video Archives

Watch community members speaking the Athabaskan language and sharing oral histories.

This collection of videos of fluent speakers of Athabaskan came to life with the awarding of funds from a grant from the U.S. Health and Human Services Department. This grant is administered by the American Native Administration offices within HHS.

New recordings have been acquired with the help of tribal members who realize the importance of preserving our native heritage. The recordings are spoken by our Tribal Elders in the way that the histories were passed down to them by their ancestors.

To keep our files secure and prevent them from being used by non-authorized entities, we have enabled measures to prevent them from being copied. If you would like to use any portion of these files, you must receive permission from the Dot Lake Village Council.  Please send all requests in writing to council@dotlakevillage.org .
